You will find the Academy Theatre tucked away in Gainford, overlooking the village green. Gainford is situated on the A67 and is 8 miles from Barnard Castle and 8 miles from Darlington. There is free parking in the village to the front of the theatre and disabled access can be gained through the rear of the theatre.

When approaching the village by car, from Darlington turn left by the Nelson public house, or from Barnard Castle, turn right by the Cross Keys. When on the village green, the Theatre is adjacent to the public telephone box
